Abstract

Community Service Program (KKN) is a form of implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education that aims to empower the community through the application of science and technology. One of the local food potentials that has not been optimally utilized in the KKN location village is sorghum, which has only been used for personal consumption and has not been processed into value-added products. This community service activity aims to increase sorghum-based food processing innovation to support food independence and economic empowerment of village communities. The method of implementing activities includes socialization of sorghum potential, training in processing sorghum-based food products, and assistance to the community in product development. The results of the activity showed an increase in community knowledge and skills in processing sorghum into innovative food products that have economic value. This activity is expected to encourage the utilization of local food in a sustainable manner and become the basis for developing micro-enterprises based on village potential.
